Before starting DataMoat, I spent 10+ years as a systems administrator inside the kinds of organizations I now help protect — financial services firms, professional services companies, and multi-site nonprofits. I've supported security and infrastructure for hundreds of client environments across banking and finance, and led infrastructure modernization efforts that built the compliance baselines keeping 300+ staff secure across multiple offices.
I started DataMoat because I kept seeing the same problem: small medical practices, law firms, and financial advisors are held to the same compliance standards as large enterprises, but don’t have the in-house IT team to manage it. I built this firm to close that gap — bringing enterprise-grade security practices to businesses that need them most, without the overhead.
